Relaxing time with fall foliage
In early November, the fall foliage across the country will be at its peak. Popular fall foliage destinations are already busy with events such as trekking festivals and walking competitions.
Mountains and parks are great for their colorful foliage, but another way to enjoy fall is to visit a garden or arboretum.
There’s nothing more relaxing than enjoying the fall scenery, especially when it’s not a strenuous hike and the landscaping is manicured.
There are many well-maintained gardens around the country that are easy to visit for a picnic, and they make for great fall photos.
Here are three beautiful gardens to visit this fall. They’re full of natural color and are a relaxing destination in themselves.
Agape Garden
Agape Garden, located at 9 Yulchon-gil, Hwangdae-myeon, Iksan-si, Jeollabuk-do, is a beautiful forest path with a harmonious mix of metasequoia, cypress, peacock maple, and other trees.
Originally belonging to the Agape Nursing Home for the Elderly, the garden was created to provide healthy leisure in nature and was registered as a private garden in 2021.
Daffodils, tulips, magnolias, and other flowers bloom throughout the seasons, and in the fall, the towering metasequoias turn their leaves, making for a beautiful walk.

Located at 1312-71, Samsang-ro, Sangmyeon-si, Goseong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, Korea, Grace Garden has been a tranquil healing space with a fairytale-like landscape since its opening in 2020.
The 160,000 square kilometers of land under the foothills of the castle are planted with more than 300,000 trees and a variety of seasonal flowers, providing beautiful scenery throughout the year.
Especially in the fall, the metasequoia leaves turn the garden red and golden, transforming the entire area into a fall foliage destination.

Morning Calm Arboretum
Located in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, the Morning Goyo Tree Farm has become the capital region’s leading fall foliage spot since its opening in 1996, harmonizing with the mountainside of Chukryeongsan.
There are 20 themed gardens centered around a pine tree forest, and the Hagyeong Garden, which is shaped like the Korean Peninsula, is especially beautiful with autumn leaves and chrysanthemums.
For the fall season, there is also a chrysanthemum exhibition from October 19 to November 10, which is a popular way to see colorful flowers and autumn leaves at the same time.
Admission is $11 for adults, $8.50 for teens, and $7.50 for children, with discounts for families when booking online.
